cliche

I just got done reading a few blogs (a favorite hobby of mine) and have come across a new tendency. Those on the postmodern side (and I would lump myself into this crowd occasionaly) are really, in my opinion, reacting against the downfalls of modernity (I apologize for anyone reading who isn’t aware of the distinction). Secondly, there are various models of postmodernism in the Christian circle. The first camp is the intellectual side where the likes of Brian McLaren and Tony Jones are, and then there is an “image” associated with postmodern Christianity. I would put Rob Bell, Dan Kimball in this crowd. Really, I think the whole issue remains about context. My question: when did reacting against something necessarily equal a new category?

I know this is a random post, and I plan to think about this more, but I wanted to get this out while I am still coherent (it is 1:30 AM).
